Evilon are going deeper than ever in their new album, when it comes to lores, mythology, creatures and sagas. Even some personal context has been added. The album in it's self is probably the best album Evilon has created so far. With the new members they have experimented a bit further when it comes to vocals, lyrics, melodies and even the symphonic parts. All in all the album is definitively a step forwards where it comes to production, mixing, mastering and to the final product.
Evilon has been compared to other big Folk/Viking Metal bands, as well as a couple of Scandinavian Melodic Death Metal giants (Amon Amarth, Ensiferum, Nightwish, Wintersun, Amorphis, Grimner etc).
Bio:
Evilon is a swedish metalband that plays Folk Metal. The band was created in 2015 by Kenneth Evstrand and Jonny Sjödin. During the winter of 2016 Evilon recorded its first EP called "Shores Of Evilon". It contains of five songs written in 2016. The EP was released independently by Evilon.In June 2017. The recordings for a full length album began. One year later it was finished and the name was "Leviathan". The album contained ten new songs. In February 2018 Evilon signed a worldwide distribution contract with the Italian recordlabel Wormholedeath Records for the release of the album Leviathan. During 2019-2020, Evilon changed the line-up of the band and became a four piece band, Jonny took the position as the main growler. In 2022 Björn decided to leave the band, later the same year Kjell Rune joined the brotherhood! In 2023 we released the album called "A Warriors Way"! There has been line-up changes and we are now a five piece dynamite group!
In 2024 Evilon signed with Fetzner Death Records! Through them we released AWW in physical format on November 1st. On April 4th we are releasing our new album called Ginnungagap!
