-----------------------------------
Concrete Icon was founded in Turku in 2007 to play old-school death metal.
After various lineup changes, the band soon discovered that a four-piece lineup was the most effective way to spread their gospel of heaviness. Musically, the band combines influences from both sides of the Atlantic: edgier US-style riffs meet the melancholy and darkness of their European counterparts.
Concrete Icon would like to send shoutout to the following:
First and foremost, the original Concrete Icon low end keeper TK for his years of dedication to the craft, we shall continue from here and keep the darkened flood of Concrete legacy flowing, eternal gratitude and respect!
Our families, close colleagues and friends of the band for cheering us up and believing in us when we have been in need.
Artturi for once again keeping it real with us during another studio shenanigans, Raul Sampedro for being one of the realest underground muthafuckas and taking us into Memento Mori family. Tommy and Redefining Darkness Records for all the help, knowledge and support. All the gig and festival organizers, all bands we’ve shared stage with. All the fucking diehards who still come out to rage and support underground metal by spreading the word and rocking the merch. Anyone who has ever supported us in anyway, we salute you! Last but not least, the current Concrete Icon camp; through all the line-up changes, doubts, sweat and countless rehearsals, finally the album that’s been in the making since 2022 is seeing the light of day. Crushing united, onwards to battle!
