The band Oskrnavitelj, the author's offshoot of the Serbian black metal scene, was founded in 2021 in Belgrade. Cold and emotional melodies, dark riffs and often raw guitar riffs are the main features of the band's style, which finds its authenticity in relying on black metal in the '90s. Although the music does not limit itself conceptually, the band still remains consistent with its basic direction and dark, cold but at the same time energizing style.
The original creator of the entire project and frontman of the band, Ivana Savić from Belgrade, is known to the audience from the former bands Kramp and Sakramentum. In addition to its recognizable style and powerful vocals, which makes this band stand out as one of the few in this direction with a strong female frontman, the band Ivani owes thanks for the authentic name of both the band and the first album, but also for the author's texts in the Serbian language, the subject of which is most often focuses on ideas of misanthropy, darkness, blasphemy, death, evil, nature and our ancestors.
The first line-up of the band, with Ivan at the helm as a vocalist, also consisted of: Dejan Damnjanović and Milan Nešković on guitars, Daniel Pop on drums and Goran Jelić on bass guitar. Milan Nešković soon left the band, leaving his mark in the song "Okovan". In his place comes Vuk Kazimirović, previously known to the audience from the band Svartgren. In this line-up, the band performs for the first time in the Garage club, then at the Empire festival 2 and the Fest club, leaving a good impression on the audience, both with the music and the image of the band itself.
Immediately after the concerts, Vuk Kazimirović left the band, leaving the band with his work "Krv Vučija" as well as Goran Jelić (Karakonžula), who bequeathed a joint work with drummer Pop on the first song, named after the band itself, "Oskrnavitelj". soon after, it is raised to a higher level by the entry of guitarist Ivan Kostić, from the band Retribution and Tibia, who with his professional experience and ingenuity helps the band to record its first album, called "Ancient". The album was recorded in collaboration with the famous producer and musician, Srdjan Branković, in the "Paradox" studio in Smederevo. The music on the album is full of melodic and cool riffs, which represent the foundations of the genre itself. And the unique style of the band itself, while not limiting itself in its dark creativity and breadth black metal, Oskrnavitelj reminds that this musical direction is still alive.
In 2023. Drumer Daniel Pop left band and his replacment is Nikolaj Plančak (joined in 2024).
Bassist Nebojša Đurković join Oskrnavitelj september 2024.
Oskrnavitelj played as support with Greek Bands Nihilism (2023), Shadowmass, Decipher, also with Romanian Black Metal bands Ordinul Negru and NocturN (2024) and on Metal Plague Festival in Zemun, Belgrade.…
