Waldruine is a German black metal band that was formed during the winter solstice of 2021 in Lower Saxony. The band cultivates a dark and occult musical style, with lyrics focusing on themes such as occultism and Satanism.
In 2024, Waldruine released their debut album “Nachtmeerfahrten” with nine tracks on CD. Musically, Waldruine remains true to traditional black metal, delivering aggressive riffs and a dark, atmospheric sound.
The current lineup consists of N. N. Libra (guitar) and Chr. (vocals and bass). Their drummer Valar Morghulis left the band after the recording of “Nachtmeerfahrten.”
Interesting fact: The band has a female guitarist, which is remarkable since women are a minority in the black metal scene.
