Lebensstille continue to evolve the sound established in their first album. In the span of 25 minutes, they deliver four poignant songs, some with personal context, exploring themes such as self-harm, alcohol abuse, and other struggles related to depression. The EP can be seen as a logical progression from their first release, incorporating more complex riffs and song structures and experimenting with new vocal styles. In terms of production, the band has also taken a step forward, offering a more pounding yet still cold sound.
The sound of Lebensstille can be described as a mixture between bands like Fäulnis and None. They are likely to appeal to fans of the first and second waves of classic Black Metal, as well as those who enjoy the more modern sounds of Post-Black Metal.
